Class of 2021

Teisberg speaking to a class

In August, we launched the second cohort of the MS in Health Care Transformation program online. Students in the Class of 2021 work in five different countries and bring a rich array of professional experiences to the program. They are already forming a strong community with each other while also getting to know graduates from the Class of 2020. Dell Medical School Dean Clay Johnston, Intern Dean of McCombs School of Business Lillian Mills, and Interim President of UT Jay Hartzell welcomed students during their first residential week.

International Group Forming Around Person-Centered and Value-Based Health Care

Executive Director Elizabeth Teisberg is working with an international group of researchers to write a report on the interrelationships of person-centered health and value-based health care. By illuminating how person-centered care creates value, they hope to dispel the still-common belief that value-based health care is focused on cost reduction. A report from the project team is anticipated in late 2021.
