Immersion Program in Value-Based Health Care

Executive Director Elizabeth Teisberg and Managing Director Scott Wallace participated in the Musculoskeletal Institute’s Immersion Program in Value-Based Health Care on September 24th and 25th. They gave an overview of value-based care and highlighted opportunities and challenges facing health care leaders as the industry transitions to value-based care models. The next program will take place December 2020.

ReaMedica: Informal Conversations on Value-Based Health Care

On September 16th, Scott Wallace gave a presentation on the opportunities and challenges of value-based health care for ReaMedica Health, a health service provider based in Nairobi, Kenya. The goal of the event was to raise awareness of value-based care frameworks and facilitate opportunities for more African health entrepreneurs, practitioners, and policy-makers to share their knowledge of and experiences with value-based care delivery.

Australian Leadership Rounds

Outcomes Program Officer Kathy Carberry and Elizabeth Teisberg presented “Measuring What Matters” for the Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association’s Health Care Transformation Leadership Program. The program runs through February 2021 and consists of six 90-minute web-based leadership rounds taught by Value Institute and affiliated faculty, contextualized to the Australian setting.

HIHIT Certificate: Now Accepting Applications for Spring 2021

The Health Informatics & Health Information Technology Certificate offered by the McCombs School of Business prepares post-baccalaureate students for Health IT careers. The 9-week program includes four courses and hands-on training with electronic health record software systems. Participants are discouraged from working while completing this program, as it requires a full-time commitment.
